The Community Guidelines ensure all members of the Exfluency community practise its values.
These guidelines aim to empower each other in how we work together, and as a community member, your role here is crucial. We wish to be the best possible version of ourselves and work alongside others who want to be so. It’s our joint responsibility to create a safe place with safe people working together.
Whether you're an Enhancer, Trust Miner™, Redactor, or an internal employee, we’re all ONE community working as ONE team.
-
Be human - We're all human, and humans make mistakes. We must treat each other respectfully when we notice something is not quite right. Rather than say it with a smile, you can type it with a smile.
-
Be professional - We believe it’s beneficial to have varied views and perspectives, for example in regards to religion and politics. However, we encourage all members to be professional and respectful when communicating with each other and the Exfluency team.
-
Be committed - Timing is everything when it comes to delivering high quality. So, only accept a project if you can meet the deadline. Late deliveries without fair reason will not be tolerated.
-
Be quality-conscious - It's your responsibility to check all linguistic assets. Style guides are provided by the client and must be adhered to. Projects will be returned for corrections when style guides have not been followed. So, make sure you have these handy.
-
Be responsive - We think of you as our colleagues, so please get back to us when we reach out. Remember to use the ‘Taking a time out’ button on your profile when unavailable.
-
Be open - Exfluency may be different from the working world you know. You’re a diverse community of subject matter experts, translators, and linguists. So, think of each other as project partners, applying your skill sets to produce an entirely new level of quality.
-
Be proactive - Let us know when you spot something that should be changed or have something on your mind. It's in all our best interests to share and collaborate so we can work better together.
-
Be kind - Bullying and harassment are not tolerated within any corner of the community.
The best thing you can do if you’re unsure about anything is click the Help Centre button. If you’re running late on a project, unsure of the style guide, or having any problems, please let us know so we can keep things running as smoothly as possible.
We’re humans behind the Help Centre button, too, so please do get in touch!
