How is the estimated time calculated?
The platform calculates the estimated time to complete a project beforehand (individually for each user) based on the actual time spent by that user’ on previous assignments (for the first assignment, a default calculation is used).
If a user spends more time on a project than the estimated time, the platform will estimate longer time for future projects.
How do I toggle the source text?
In the lower right corner of the editor you can access a Help menu by clicking the question mark symbol. Here you will find an overview of useful keyboard shortcuts.
The easiest way to toggle the source text is to click the asset and click CTRL+S.
Can I update a project that was already completed?
No, once you press ‘Finish’ on a project, you can no longer get access to it so please make sure to perform all your checks before you finish the assignment.
If you have raised a query, please wait for the Exfluency team to get back to you before you complete the project - even when this means exceeding the deadline.
The text looks machine translated - did a human work on the project?
That depends on your role in the workflow.
If you work as the Enhancer, you are the first human to work on the project, and what you see in the editor is a machine translation based on several neural machine translation engines.
If you work as the Trust miner, you will be working on the output of the Enhancer’s work.
Was source and target language mixed up? The text in the editor is showing in my target language already when I work as the Enhancer.
Our editor is monolingual so you will see the AI-generated output of the text in the editor when you receive a new project from Exfluency. Your task is to review this machine translation to add the human factor and bring the text from good to great.
The quality of the text is really poor - what should I do?
Please flag it to the Exfluency team through the Help Centre as soon as possible if you find the quality of the text to be very low.
Maybe the source file was not properly prepped for translation, and we might need to ask the client to clean up the file and resubmit the project - or maybe the previous stage was not handled properly and we need to find a solution to that.
In either way, the Exfluency team will examine the case and guide you to a solution.
I have a query to a project and deadline is approaching - what do I do?
Please wait for the Exfluency team’s guidance - for less critical queries we might instruct you to go ahead and complete the project while for other queries we may want to wait for the client’s reply before we can finish, even when this means exceeding the deadline.
