The redaction process
The Redactors review each asset and anonymize those that contain sensitive or confidential information or deanonymize the assets that have been incorrectly anonymized in the automatic process. Another part of the assignment is to mark the DNT (do not translate) phrases, for example quotes or words/phrases written in the target language rather than in the source language.
NOTE: When you click Complete on the linguistic asset, the progress is saved automatically and the number of remaining assets at the bottom of the page changes.
Manual anonymization and setting words as DNT
When a single word in a given asset must be anonymized, mark the word and click the eye button in the pop-up window that appears.
The next step is to select the asset category:
To mark the entire linguistic asset as DNT (do not translate), mark it by clicking the ” button in the top, left-hand corner of the asset block.
If there is a single word or phrase within a linguistic asset that should not be translated, mark it and click the ” symbol in the pop-up window that appears.
You will also need to provide a brief justification as to why the word or phrase should not be translated.
To confirm that the work with a specific asset is completed, simply click the Complete button or use CTRL + Enter key shortcut.
The Progress bar
The progress bar at the bottom of the editor also shows the following useful information:
-
Due: the delivery deadline.
-
Total assets: the number of linguistic assets in the document.
-
Remaining assets: the number of assets you still need to review.
-
Estimated time remaining: estimates how long it will take to finish redacting the document.
If you prefer to finish the project later, you can return to it by clicking the → button in the Redactor dashboard > In Progress section.
Finishing the project
When all the necessary operations, such as anonymization and DNT redaction are finished, click the Finish assignment button on the top, right-hand corner of the page.
NOTE: Once you click the Finish assignment button, you will not be able access the document again, i.e. do not click the Finish assignment button until you have actually finished the entire document.
