Introduction
The Final Redaction stage provides a valuable opportunity to correct other possible problems, like spelling, numbers, proper names, correct declension of assets that were anonymized in the preceding steps as well as correct declension and conjunction of words syntactically linked to anonymized items. It is the last stage of the production process.
Given that for technical reasons some elements of formatting, such as a bolded / underlined / italicised word in a sentence, are lost in a document processed on the Exfluency™ platform, it is necessary to have the final files (enhanced and trust mined, if applicable) verified and corrected in terms of formatting and layout to ensure they reflect the source files as closely as possible.
Requirements
Technical
This new stage can be selected by the Requester when a new project is uploaded or it can occur after the project had been returned to and reopened by the Requester.
The Final Redaction stage must be performed on local machines using the MS Word application. Consequently, the final file must be downloaded, processed, and then uploaded by a Redactor.
Note that files are checked and must meet the following criteria:
-
file size must be bigger than zero bytes,
-
file content must be good to be parsed / OCR’ed,
-
DOCX content should match indicated target language (warning shown if compatible under 80%).
Non-technical
A user must have at least passive knowledge of both source and target languages. If they do not have, please do not accept the Final Redaction project.
Accepting a Final Redaction project
An e-mail notification will be sent, informing that a Final Redaction project is awaiting acceptance.
The same information can be found in the Redactor’s Dashboard > Pending Acceptance
Redactors can see more information by hovering over the i icon, preview the document by clicking the eye symbol, accept by clicking the green approve button, or reject by clicking the red x button.
